With filming for Thor: Love and Thunder scheduled to start next week in Australia, it seems that Chris Pratt has cleared the country’s mandatory 14 day quarantine just in time. Pratt, who recently confirmed his participation in the forthcoming Thor installment during an interview with Tom Holland for an Instagram live event in support of the Greater Good charity, was spotted celebrating along with other cast and crew for the upcoming project at the luxurious Crown Sydney in downtown Sydney per UK Daily Mail.
Many a picture were captured of the seemingly happy actor enjoying himself along with fellow cast and crew, including quite a few showing Pratt and “the other Chris”, Thor franchise star Chris Hemsworth, seemingly in the middle of a jovial conversation before sharing a friendly embrace and plenty more laughs.
Per some reports, the gathering carried late into the evening and was also attended by the film’s director Taiki Waititi.
This is only more welcome news for many of us within the MCU’s fandom. After nearly a year’s worth of painful waiting and begrudged patience, we fans are ready for the world to return to some semblance of norm and for the “House of Ideas” to start ramping up it’s supply of MCU projects.
Thor: Love and Thunder, which will also give us the return of Natalie Portman as Jane Foster (soooooooo happy about this), is apparently still on schedule for it’s May 2022 release. Given the difficulties the entire industry has been facing and the frequent changes to shooting and release dates, let’s all hope for Thor:L&T’s date to hold. (Or else I will only become more of a bear on those within shouting/crying distance.)
