Marvel Television has quite a lot of projects on their hands but that does not seem to be stopping them in any way. With them branching out to Hulu and FreeForm (former ABC Family) with the shows  The Runaways and Cloak & Dagger respectively, it’s clear that they’re trying to reach a brand new audience for their shows. While not much is known, as outside of a few announcement such as the release of the official trailer for Cloak and Dagger, a lot about these shows are still shrouded in mystery. While we will not see these shows release until 2018, we do have some more information coming out on who we can expect to be scoring the upcoming TV series.

Siddharta Khosla has been tapped to score the show The Runaways. Most known for his work on the breakaway hit domestic drama This Is Us, fans can expect Khosla to bring his own musical stamp to a Marvel show that evokes that same familial profoundness as This Is Us.

Cloak and Dagger has hired Mark Isham to score the upcoming teenage drama that will see two teenagers having to face the difficulties of them possessing powers and falling in love. Isham has a background with ABC’s Once Upon a Time, fantasy romance Fallen and the drama A Family Man.

Two very distinct composers with very different backgrounds could lend the shows a unique touch to make them stand out among the many other shows that are airing next year season. Marvel Television has proven to have a great hand when it comes to composers, may it be the bombastic and spy-themed score from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s Bear McCreary, John Paesano‘s bleak approach for Netflix’s Daredevil or the memorable Luke Cage score by Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see what the upcoming shows has in store for its viewers.

What are your thoughts on the matter? Looking forward to hearing these composers score?
