D23’s second day is upon us and we are getting some more news on upcoming projects that are most likely the last extension to SDCC’s Phase 4 announcements. Just the other night we found out that we are getting three more Disney+ shows and it seems Marvel Studios isn’t taking a break as Kevin Feige once again took the stage today to reveal some of their upcoming films. Among them was the confirmation for the release date of Black Panther II. Sadly, they did not reveal the official title for the Black Panther sequel, as they believe it is too early. Still, the film will be released on May 6, 2022, and will most likely directly follow Thor: Love and Thunder. That is not all, as we also got the official look at the brand new logo for the film.

The logo is quite similar to the one before but seems to make more use of the vibranium purple. There is a good chance it might change over time as they add the subtitle. As you can see Ryan Coogler also joined Feige on stage to tease the film a bit but no story details were really given. It will be interesting to see in what direction they go with the character and his franchise, especially with Wakanda being known to the public now.
Are you excited for Black Panther II?
