Last month, casting calls went out for next years Captain America: Civil War and included in the casting call was a name attached to Daniel Brühl‘s character; Baron Helmut Zemo. If that wasn’t confirmation enough, Brühl confirmed it himself in an interview with The Independent that was posted today.

Brühl has just been cast in the new Captain America, as the villain, Baron Helmut Zemo – “I think I can tell you that without being thrown into Marvel prison…” – and starts shooting at the end of April. “For the first few days I’ll walk around like a little boy, just amazed by the megalomania of it. It’s such a huge project. We could do 20 films with the budget.”

The next installment in the Captain America saga appears to have the largest cast out of any Marvel Studios movie yet, including both Avengers films. Below is a list of folks confirmed for next May’s tent pole.

  • Captain America
  • Iron Man
  • Black Panther
  • Scarlet Witch
  • Black Widow
  • Falcon
  • Crossbones
  • Baron Zemo

That’s quite a cast and doesn’t even cover a lot of other potential people like Vision, War Machine, Daredevil and some of our homies from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. Do you think the movie will be too crowded or are you hoping for even more appearances? Sound off in the comments below.
