We are only a few days away from the official release of Iron Fist‘s second season. The reviews are officially in and it seems to have been a considerable improvement from the first one. Even with the latest season around the corner, Marvel is already preparing for the next season of Daredevil. The story will continue after the events of The Defenders with Matt waking up from being buried alive. There is still little information out about what we can expect from the season and when it will be released. It seems that we can expect our first official look at the series at New York Comic-Con. Our very own Charles Villanueva predicted that we’d most likely get our first look at Daredevil‘s third season at NYCC. So there is a good chance that the show might be released at the end of 2018, which he also predicted in the article. Deadline also points to Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio and even this season’s new addition Joanna Whalley will appear at NYCC.

They are also predicting that Jeph Loeb might throw in some surprises like last year. Maybe we will get some information on the upcoming second season of The Punisher or even a brand new Marvel Netflix show. We went through all four major shows in 2018 with only The Punisher headlining 2019. It seems like a natural time to expand the Netflix MCU if they continue with four shows a year.

Daredevil isn’t the only returning show to NYCC as Runaways will also return to NYCC. The show made its debut at last year’s NYCC so it is a natural fit, especially as the second season will premiere on December 21st. We will most likely get a trailer and hopefully some news on what direction the show will have. The first season really took off on Hulu so maybe we even get an announcement for future plans that tie more into the overall MCU. We did get a tease in August that they would include more characters from the source material so maybe we will get an official confirmation on what to expect. Marvel will have a lot of presence at NYCC as per usual with Marvel Animation, Marvel Comics, and Marvel Games divisions preparing their own panels. It will certainly be an interesting NYCC as every year.

What are you looking forward to the most? What are your predictions for NYCC this year?
