A couple of months ago, That Hashtag Show broke the story that the production of Daredevil Season 3 was on the lookout for actors to play a few key members of the FBI. Now, we finally know that one of those roles in the breakdown has been filled. Meet Jay Ali, an actor known for his work on The Fosters who will be playing the role of Rahul “Ray” Nadeem, an FBI agent who Marvel describes as “an honest, but ambitious FBI agent willing to go to any length for his family.” That character description closely resembles the breakdown THS had for one Ben Jeffreys.

[AGENT BEN JEFFREYS]38-45, male, please submit Middle Eastern, South Asian, Israeli, Pakistani. A second-generation American, Ben is deeply committed to both his career and his family. He’s intelligent, warm and generous by nature but when pushed too far suffers a crisis of conscience. SERIES REGULAR

It’s safe to say that this was the role Jay Ali won. Marvel TV head honcho Jeph Loeb and Season 3 showrunner Erik Oleson had this to say about the new addition to the Daredevil family, respectively.

We are thrilled to welcome Jay into our stellar cast. His storyline and riveting performance will captivate our fans in the third season of Marvel’s Daredevil.

I love Jay Ali. It isn’t easy to join a cast as talented as Marvel’s Daredevil – and Jay blew us all out of the water with his audition. His moving performance in Season 3 will show the world that he’s a star in the making.

Details about the season’s story have been scarce for the most part. With 1 of the 3 characters from the breakdown out of the way, it’ll only be a matter of time until we learn the next batch of FBI agents of Daredevil Season 3. Stay tuned.
