COVID continues to brutally ravage businesses left and right and even the seemingly indestructible ones like the movie industry are taking huge hits. After being pushed back several months, it looks like fans will have to wait longer for Black Widow to hit theaters. In a report detailing Warner Bros. plans to move Wonder Woman later into the year, they dropped this nugget.
There are whispers, and Disney would not confirm today, that its Marvel movie Black Widow could move from its November 6 release date.
Like we always say, it really isn’t surprising given the times. Some countries have it worse than others, America included, and the domestic box-office is what these studios really care about. With Mulan now out on Disney+, it’ll be interesting to see if that film’s streaming numbers will help Disney discern a potential D+ release for Black Widow as well. The only real downside with this is that internationally, that stuff is going to widely pirated within hours. But yeah, Marvel fans are hungrier for content more than ever so it might be time, Disney.
