Early this year, it was revealed that actor DeWanda Wise was slated to join the growing cast of Captain Marvel, in a role speculated to be Monica Rambeau. Deadline says some scheduling conflicts for Wise have risen, forcing her to back out of this major project. A bummer for sure.
There has been a slew of casting announcement for Captain Marvel roles recently, beginning with Ben Mendelsohn‘s villainous role to Jude Law‘s Mar-Vell and Gemma Chan‘s Minn-Erva. It’ll only be a matter of time until we hear who’s replacing Wise in the role and if it’ll be indeed fan-favorite Monica Rambeau. Stay tuned here!
