Tomorrow is the big day. Disney+ is finally releasing in the States with some brand new Disney content like Lady and the Tramp as well as The Mandalorian. Sadly, none of the newly announced Marvel Studios’ mini-series will be available with the launch. It did seem strange that the service was not going to launch alongside something from Marvel Studios. They did announce that Avengers: Endgame will be available on launch alongside a limited release of past films but nothing new to commemorate one of Disney’s largest franchises with the streaming services’ launch. Well, it seems they were waiting for the right moment as the Disney+ Twitter account has now officially unveiled a Marvel Studios special being released alongside the other films that will be available.

Disney+ waited for this announcement and it’s certainly nice to see some representation for the launch. It certainly is a sneaky strategy but this does add something to tease their upcoming series. The tease points to this being primarily about showcasing the upcoming Disney+ series and potentially some look at the behind-the-scenes for Falcon and the Winter Soldier as well as WandaVision. They might also talk about the story influences for their other shows that are only in early production as of now. Hopefully, we will also get some concept art showcasing what we can expect from the series. This is just a great little surprise before the official release of the streaming service even if it is uncertain how long this special will end up being.

What do you think of this announcement? What will you be watching first on Disney+?
