A new international trailer for Thor:  Ragnarok has surfaced online and although it is essentially the same version released at San Diego Comic-Con, it has a few seconds of additional footage added to the beginning, showcasing none other than the Sorcerer Supreme himself, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch). In the ten seconds or so of new footage, we see Thor (Chris Hemsworth) speaking to Strange inside the sorcerer’s home, the Sanctum Sanctorum.

“Thor, I sense a great change in your future. Destiny has dire plans for you, my friend,” Strange tells his Asgardian acquaintance.

Odinson responds, “I have dire plans for destiny.”

It should be noted that Hemsworth is rocking Thor’s classic long-haired look while speaking with Strange, while also wearing the same outfit he wore in his post-credits cameo in Doctor Strange.  That said, it looks like the Sorcerer Supreme is going to make an early entrance in Ragnarok as Thor works to stop the impending Asgardian apocalypse at the hands of Hela (Cate Blanchett).

While this is the first real look we’ve seen at Stephen Strange in his sophomore Marvel Cinematic Universe appearance, we did get a previous hint at how the character would look as toy giant Sideshow Collectibles released a new Strange statue at San Diego Comic Con.

Thor:  Ragnarok, as directed by Taiki Waititi (Hunt for the Wilderpeople), hits movie screens across the United States beginning November 3, 2017.
