Last week during SDCC, Marvel and Netflix announced that we’d be getting a third season of Daredevil. It was pretty exciting for fans of the horn head, until it was revealed the following week that the third season wouldn’t premiere any earlier than 2018 – yep, two years from now. For fans of the series, this was a frustrating bit of news. However, with The Defenders being confirmed for 2017 alongside Iron Fist, there is some good news to come out of all of this.

During an appearance at a convention this weekend, Elden Henson, who plays Foggy Nelson in the Daredevil series, confirmed that he’ll be appearing in The Defenders in an unknown capacity. This makes the second cast member from one the solo shows to be confirmed for The Defenders – outside of our heroes, of course – as Eka Darville (Malcolm in Jessica Jones) has previously confirmed his involvement.

With The Defenders set to go into production following Iron Fist, it’s more than likely we’ll begin hearing more announcements regarding cast members from the other shows appearing in some capacity. For now, you can follow along here for any and all news regarding the upcoming series.
