The release of Marvel and IMAX’s ambitious Inhumans is nearing and with it a lot of curiosity is building up on what we can exactly expect from this project. Many of the famous comic book characters will make an appearance throughout the show, may it be Karnak, Black Bolt or even the gigantic dog, Lockjaw. The first trailer teased quite a lot of one of those members, Gorgon, who is played by Eme Ikuakor. During the set visit, the actor revealed a bit more about the character and the dynamics with other members of the family.

“I’m the head of the Attilan military. I’m more of the bruiser of the group. I act 5 times before I start thinking. I think that plays into a lot of the dynamics as well, especially with Karnak who is the exact opposite who think 5 times before he acts.”

It certainly seems that we can expect a very head-strong Gorgon, which may also be a reason that leads the military leader to end up in a skirmish within the jungles of Hawaii. The tease of his dynamic with Karnak (Ken Leung) could certainly lead to some rather interesting moments throughout the show, especially if we get to see them confront each other on very distinct ideals. Karnak’s more calm nature meeting the brash Gorgon may also make these two the comedic duo for the film, similar to how Falcon and Bucky kept bouncing off of each other throughout Captain America: Civil War.

“I think it’s really cool because you have so many of these different dichotomies that are just going on inside the family. It’s one of those things that will be exciting to watch when it comes out. To see the levels and depths of relationships these characters have with one another.”

That is probably going to be one of the major selling points for the show, the dynamic between the various family members. There are some interesting combinations that we could potentially see unfold throughout the show, may it be Medusa and Black Bolt’s marriage, see how Karnak’s calm nature tries to keep everyone in check or Gorgon getting into quite a few discussions with the others. It may take some inspiration from how Game of Thrones focuses quite a lot on the political intrigue between the family members of the various houses. This will most certainly be a key part of the portrayal of the Boltagon’s relationship.

What are your thoughts on the matter? What interactions are you looking forward the most? What relationship do you think Gorgon and Karnak will share?
