There has been a flurry of actresses recently that have thrown out ideas for their place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Shannon Purser and Anna Kendrick have both expressed interest in being Squirrel Girl, a relatively positive and (ahem) fluffy character. And now English actress Olivia Colman, who recently worked alongside MCU regular Tom Hiddleston, has expressed her more sinister dreams for being a part of the MCU.

In an interview with Vulture, the actress threw out her request for consideration in the MCU.

I’ve always wanted to play a Marvel baddie. I’m not sure I fit the mold, though. Like a powerful, extraordinary woman. Somebody with superpowers would be really fun, but I’m not sure how many middle-aged woman they have in Marvel… . I imagine that dream is gone, but that would be amazing.

With Runaways in production for Hulu, there are opportunities for several evil mothers to be cast in the MCU. But with the out-of-the box thinking that Marvel has put toward all of their properties, there doesn’t necessarily need to be an existing female villain, for a woman to be cast in a villainous role. In a world where we have Carrie Ann Moss as Jerri Hogarth, is there anything keeping a character like Bullseye from being a lady, as well? Give us your thoughts on what roles you would like to see Colman play in the MCU in the comments!
