Finally! Some real news courtesy of our friend Charles Murphy. According to him, American Horror Story and X-Men star is, in fact, included in the cast of Wandavision. There’s no word on what his role is but we do know he joined the cast several months back and that Marvel was able to keep his involvement a secret, until now.
Now, before you go to the understandable assumption that Peters is Quicksilver, it’s very possible that Peters is playing a character completely out of left field. The man has had a distinguished career playing all kinds of crazy characters after all. As for him playing Quicksilver, there doesn’t seem to be any logical reason for Marvel to have Peters reprise his role from the Fox films, a role that was deliberately introduced in X-Men: Days of Future Past to spite Marvel bringing in the character for Avengers: Age of Ultron. Unlike JK Simmons returning as Jameson in the Spidey films, both Peters and Aaron Taylor Johnson‘s take on the character didn’t have the nerd culture imprint Simmons had on Jameson. But then again, it IS the multiverse we’re talking about so you never know.
Regardless of who Peters is playing, hearing that he’s going to be a part of Wandavision is very exciting.
