Sebastian Stan appeared in an Italian comic convention earlier this week where he revealed some interesting details on his upcoming Disney+ show with Anthony Mackie, Falcon and the Winter Soldier. According to him, the show is slated to begin filming in Atlanta in the final quarter of this year.
We’re gonna start in October.
Stan also shared his thoughts on what to expect from a show the deals with the prospect of a new Captain America in the form of Falcon and Bucky’s journey in a world without his best friend.
I think it’s time for Bucky to go out there and have an identity outside of the circumstances that we’ve met him through. So, I don’t know, he might do all kinds of things. He might even go on a date. I don’t know. Scary world out there, you know? Apps, things like that. I don’t know what he’s gonna do. I can’t see him on an iPhone…I think it’s gonna be a lot of dealing with Anthony’s character and Anthony himself which is always another character.
Falcon and the Winter Soldier is the Disney+ show I’m excited for the most. Stan and Mackie have probably one of the best tandems in the MCU and to get six hours of them just going on action-packed adventures is an instant buy for me. I’m also a huge fan of Bucky’s solo stories from Ed Brubaker and I recently started reading Rick Rememder‘s Falcon-Cap run from a few years back. The thing I’m most curious about with this show are the threats they could go up against. Maybe they can finally give us the Serpent Society for real this time.
