The one question fans of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. have been wondering since the end of the show’s second season is what happened to Simmons? We saw the monolith pull her away, and in the season three premiere, we learned that she’d been transported to another planet. Which planet, however, has remained a mystery.
We also know that, since her return in the second episode of the season, “Purpose in the Machine”, Simmons has been struggling with post traumatic stress disorder. Having spent six months on the mysterious planet, and having been hunted by who knows what, she’s had trouble readjusting to her old life. Going into the show’s fifth episode, “4,722 Hours”, fans will finally learn what Simmons endured and what became of her.
