Last October, when Marvel unveiled their entire Phase Three line-up, a piece of concept art was revealed for the Black Panther costume after it was announced that actor Chadwick Boseman had signed on to play the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
We knew that Boseman would first wear the costume in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War before the Black Panther solo film set for 2018, but set photos of the actor have been surprisingly nonexistent since the start of production on Civil War kicked off a couple months back.
Thanks to a few fan photos, we knew that Boseman was currently in Germany along with Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Martin Freeman, and the Russo brothers working on the film.
And thanks to a few new set photos from filming, we finally have an unofficial look at the Black Panther costume, although it isn’t Boseman seen wearing the suit. Instead, it’s Boseman’s stuntman filming scenes alongside the stuntmen for both Evans and Stan for a scene from Civil War.
What is interesting about these photos is that, it was rumored a while back that T’Challa would be on the hunt for the Winter Soldier in Civil War. Going off of these photos, it would appear as though T’Challa has already tracked him down and that, at some point in the film, they end up working together.
Captain America: Civil War will hit movie theaters on May 6th, 2016.
