When it comes to all things Spider-Man: Homecoming, the first Spider-Man movie to exist within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans are eager for any and all news. Unfortunately, with the film’s July release date still a ways off, it’s highly unlikely much will be revealed ahead of the New Year outside of a trailer. And according to the folks over at Comicbook.com, we can expect the first trailer to – unsurprisingly – be attached to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. I say unsurprisingly because, honestly, most of us really excited this, I’d wager.

If you’ll recall, we recently reported that Homecoming will have a panel at Brazil’s CCXP, alongside Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2, and that event is set to take place on December 2nd. That’s twelve days before Rogue One is set to hit the big screen. Why does this matter? CCXP is going to be a huge con for Marvel. They’re bringing two highly anticipated films, and while details surrounding their plans have been scarce, it’s hard not to presume they’ll sure either some of the exclusive footage that originally debuted at SDCC or at least trailers for both upcoming projects. With that said, following a potential trailer reveal at CCXP, which will more than likely be preceded by exclusive footage the general public will not get to see outside of the con, it’s hard to believe Marvel won’t drop a new trailer shortly thereafter – enter Rogue One.

Spider-Man: Homecoming, which stars Tom Holland as the web-slinger, is set to hit the big screen on July 7th, 2017.
