Marvel’s TV division is deep in the process of planning its resurgence, making up for the final season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. next summer with 8 confirmed Disney+ shows and 2 new shows on Hulu, all in various stages of development up until now. One show that hasn’t gotten nearly as much attention as would be expected (especially one starring a character that has become a huge fan-favorite) is Ghost Rider, although a new report from Comicbook.com shows the series is starting to make some headway in its production!
The report confirms the show will be dipping its toes into the horror genre, and it gives us our first batch of character descriptions as well. The show is reportedly casting for four different roles: Watts, Pitt, Jacob and Donna, who are members of a Texan family that seeks the help of Gabriel Luna’s Robbie Reyes after being haunted by some kind of demon. Whether these casting names are just a cover for something bigger is anybody’s guess, especially considering how secretive we’ve known Marvel to be when it comes to their character and casting choices.
Fans have been craving more of our favorite hot-head since we last saw him in season 4 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., seeming to take a page out of Doctor Strange’s book and opening a portal into an unknown dimension after helping defeat AIDA. Next year, we will finally get to catch up with Robbie Reyes in his newest adventures on Hulu, and the anticipation is building as Marvel works on how to scare the wits out of us all!
