It seems like the internet may have jinxed this show yesterday. It’s being reported by Deadline that Hulu has opted to not move forward with Ghost Rider. This seems to be due to the team behind the show and Hulu being unable to agree on the direction of the show.

While Marvel’s Helstrom is on track, I hear Hulu and the Ghost Rider team had reached a creative impasse which could not be resolved, leading to the streamer’s decision not to move forward with the series.

The report doesn’t go into anymore detail about what this creative impasse was, but they speculate that the show could still be shopped to other networks. Which will hopefully go better than the efforts of New Warriors and doesn’t meet their same fate. Not to get too conspiratorial, but, it seems like this is more than a coincidence. Just yesterday, there’s news of Marvel Studios wanting to introduce their own Ghost Rider. A day later and the show from Marvel Television is no longer moving forward at Hulu.

Have to feel bad for Loeb at this point, who seemed to be wanting to build up his own version of Midnight Sons. But, it looks like Feige wants to beat him to it.
