Following its run at theaters, Marvel has today announced when you’ll be able to enjoy Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 from the comfort of your own home with some added extras.
Marvel hasrevealed that Vol. 2 will be available from digital outlets such as iTunes and Google Play starting on August 8th, 2017. This includes the standard and HD versions of the film. Like with previous MCU films, Vol. 2 will be available on Disney Movies Anywhere, the Microsoft store, FandangoNow, Amazon Video, Google Play Movies, VUDU, and iTunes. Even though this will be the first MCU film sold in 4K HDR, it doesn’t look like that version will be available digitally, at least not at the start.
If you’re looking to pick up a physical copy of the movie, you’ll need to wait until August 22nd. Starting that date, Vol. 2 will be available on DVD and Blu-Ray in 4K HDR depending on the option you pick up. The standard DVD will be available pretty much anywhere, but Target, Wal-Mart, and Best Buy are all offering combo packs that snag a digital copy as well. Pre-orders are available now from the likes of Target and F.Y.E. with orders set to open from Best Buy and more soon.

Along with the Blu-Ray, Marvel is including a bonus that’s sure to get fans excited. The James Gunn-composed song “Guardians Inferno” will get a music video on the Blu-Ray featuring David Hasselhoff and The Sneepers. The video is, of course, directed by Gunn himself.
