There are many infectious things about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Drax’s laugh, Mantis’ naivete, Yondu’s quips, and not the least of which, the original song James Gunn and Tyler Bates wrote, that featured Star-Lord’s fake dad Zardu Hasselfrau and the Sneepers. That said song, which served as the background music to arguably the MCU’s most entertaining closing credits outro, just had its official music video released in time for the home release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Peep it out in all its 80’s glory.
Directed by David Yarovesky, the disco-flavored video pays homage to camp cheesiness that ruled the era as it features cameos from the Guardians themselves, Sean Gunn, director James Gunn, David Hasselhoff and Stan Freaking Lee himself! It’s incredibly cool seeing the stars themselves play a part in something as silly as this. What a fun group of people those Guardians cast members are!
