Back in June, it was revealed that actor Hannibal Buress would be joining the cast of Spiderman: Homecoming, however, his role was never clear, until today. In a radio interview with The Breakfast Club, Buress quickly mentioned what role he would be playing in the film.
In the video above he reveals that his character will be a gym teacher at Peter Parker’s high school, stating that he’s “one of those characters who doesn’t realize he’s Spider-Man”, of course referring to Peter Parker. He also says that his character reacts to Peter’s enhanced skills as, “Oh man, this guy is really athletic”.
Obviously, this is a pretty small role in the film, and it was actually previously revealed in a leaked call sheet a few weeks back, making some of the other roles mentioned on the sheet that much more believable.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will hit theaters on July 7th, 2017.
