As it usually goes with superhero films, the latest trailer of Avengers: Endgame has given birth a number of theories that may or may not be true come April 26th. One scene that got many people thinking is the one that shows Jeremy Renner‘s Clint Barton running away from an explosion in a corridor.

At first, that seems to be all there is to the scene, but now a Reddit user called andresgarcia102 may have shed new light on the moment. Looking for a version of the trailer with 5.1 audio, the user stumbled upon a 3D version of it that contains a seemingly unedited moment that was most likely edited in the regular trailer. The video can be seen here, and the scene itself starts at the 1:33 mark. According to /u/andresgarcia102:

I found something odd in this scene 1:35 of Hawkeye running away from the fire behind him. You can actually see bodies of an alien or a person exploding in the fireball. I went back to the official trailer that Marvel released and I only see the fireball, no bodies or anything. My guess is that it was digitally edited out from the scene for no spoilers, and that actually those aliens might be outriders from Avengers: Infinity War. I don’t think this is a big spoiler, sure theories may come from it, but I just think it is a rumour. What do you guys think?

Unless those are xenomorphs and Jeremy Renner is playing Ellen Ripley, it sure looks like those are Outriders behind Clint. But what does that mean?

Well, a theory that’s been gaining popularity since the trailer aired was the idea of Thanos launching an attack on the Avengers HQ. Scenes of broken rubble and tiny Ant-Man running next to a pencil give credence to the location. If this was indeed the case, it makes that the Mad Titan would make the most of his Outriders to do so. Therefore, many are starting to believe this tunnel is somewhere in the facility, and that Clint is running away from the aliens during the attack.

What do you think is going on during this scene? Let us know in the comments.
