Marvel Studios has hired Jonathan Igla to act as writer and executive producer for Hawkeye. One of several streaming shows for Disney’s new service, Disney+. Set to release in the Fall of 2021, it was officially announced as being part of Marvel Studios’ Phase Four, alongside The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Loki, WandaVision, and What If…?.
He was previously a writer and executive story editor for Mad Men and also writer and co-producer for the Fox series, Pitch. A short-lived show about a young pitcher who becomes the first woman to play in the Major Leagues. Seems like the best of both worlds to handle an embittered Hawkeye and up-and-comer Kate Bishop.
How do you feel about this choice? What do you expect to see from this series now?
