Ever since the dissolution of the Marvel shows on Netflix and the relationship of what was once the pinnacle of superhero TV, fans have looked to Hulu as a new potential home for the canceled shows. When asked about Hulu becoming the new home for the likes of Daredevil and friends, Hulu exec Craig Erwich had this to say:
Marvel has a ton of titles we’d be interested in. It kind of just depends on when they’re ready, [and] who, most importantly, is going to be behind these things.
Last night’s announcement that Hulu and Marvel TV were partnering to develop adult-themed cartoons featuring various characters gives credence to such a possibility. Jeph Loeb is still executive producing all content under Marvel Television so it’s likely he would be still involved with these shows should they arrive at Hulu. The big question is whether Netflix would sign off on such a deal. Despite the Marvel shows getting canceled, there are still plans for Netflix to continue to stream these shows in the coming years.
