Black Panther has already shown that Marvel Studios has not lost any momentum at the domestic and international Box Office. Their latest film has surpassed all expectations and is building itself up rank among the most successful films of all time. That is not all though, as it seems they might have another lightning in the bottle with Avengers: Infinity War. It is a given that the ten-year anniversary that is being built up as a potential beginning of the end in every tv spot and trailer. BoxOfficePro.com has been seeing a continuous increase in its trackings, especially with the surprise early release in theaters worldwide.
Its current social media activity notes a 129% higher engagement rate on Twitter than Captain America: Civil War. It is 52% above Avengers: Age of Ultron and even surpassing Disney’s other tentpole release, Star Wars: The Last Jedi and is potentially on par with The Force Awakens. That puts it at an early domestic release of $247.97 million with a natural potential to increase even further. Such a massive film will gather quite the attention and word-of-mouth as soon as it releases, especially building upon Black Panther‘s success. Its current domestic total could reach a maximum of $650 million. This is slightly above The Last Jedi but still nowhere near the $940 million of The Force Awakens. There is, however, still the possibility that Infinity War will surpass the film’s Box Office domestic opening weekend, so at this rate anything is possible.
Do you think the film will be able to surpass The Force Awakens domestically?
