'Avengers: Infinity War' Will Explore Nebula's Troubled Origins

Here is a rather interesting tidbit on Marvel Studios’ upcoming Avengers: Infinity War. A film already full of characters will still use its run time to explore the past of some its participants. Karen Gillan revealed a bit more on what we can expect from Nebula’s journey on her hunt for Thanos in the upcoming film during a Florida SuperCon panel.

Without giving away any spoilers, we’re definitely going to continue the arc for Nebula and find out more about her past and actually, we’re going to find out that it’s even worse than we know. We’re going to see her confront all of it. It’s going to be an emotional explosion.

Nebula has proven to be quite an interesting character. She started off as a villain in Guardians of the Galaxy, but the sequel shed some more light on her anger issues. One major aspect that pushed her character was her relationship with Gamora, as they were both forcefully adopted children of Thanos. The tortures she endured were heavily hinted at in the Guardians sequel and we might get to actually see what was done to her.

Furthermore, the introduction of the other children of Thanos, the MCU’s version of the Black Order, we might get a look at their relationship from when they were being trained by their father. It would not be too surprising to see her infiltrate his ranks waiting for her chance to take him down. Perhaps we have the opportunity to see her steal the Infinity Gauntlet from him?
