We are only a few weeks away from the release of Iron Fist‘s second season. Building up towards the latest entry in the Marvel Netflix series we are getting some interesting hints at what we can expect. The story picks up after The Defenders. Everyone believes Matt Murdock is dead so Danny Rand takes over as protector of Hell’s Kitchen. Taking over Daredevil’s turf would open up to many aspects of that character’s history being used in the latest season. These theories seem to be correct, as comic writer Charles Soule has pointed to actor James Chen to be playing a character named Sam Chung.

Fans of the 2015 run of Daredevil will recognize this character straight away. Chung was a Chinese immigrant who developed a suit that would make him invisible. He would then use this technology to work as a vigilante and later work with Matt Murdock. He does confirm that he has no insight if he would become Blindspot on the show but it is interesting to set up the character in advance. We still are unsure how many seasons each of the Marvel shows will get but they could be building up elements for Daredevil’s third season. We just recently got our first official look at Typhoid Mary, so a lot of elements from this upcoming season might bleed over into Matt Murdock’s upcoming adventure. This could be our first sign of the Netflix Marvel shows crossing over more to make up for the fact that no sequel season to The Defenders is being planned.

What do you think? Would you want to see Blindspot introduced?
