Spoilers for THAT Spider-Man movie.
Marvel has a knack of doing costume reveals at the end of their films. They did it with the brand new Avengers roster at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, pulled the same thing with Hope’s Wasp armor at the end of Ant-Man and made people’s jaws drop at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming when Tony revealed to Peter his brand new official suit for the Avengers. Speaking of the suit, an official high-resolution image of the costume was released to the public yesterday courtesy of an interview with VFX guru Zominike Zimmerle, who worked on several Marvel films.
Look at the detail on that bad boy. The more I look at it, the more I dig what they came up with. It has shades of Ben Reilly’s Scarlet Spider costume from the Nineties perfectly blended with the best parts of the Iron Spider suit (sans the stingers of course) from the Civil War comic book. One thing I also didn’t notice until now was how distinctly tailored the suit is to Tom Holland’s lean physique. God knows what features Tony installed here. Maybe the stingers are somewhere in the suit and Peter will pull it out to fight Thanos.
