One of the most anticipated upcoming Marvel films is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which is due to be released May 7, 2017.

Several of the characters from the first film are slated to return in the sequel, and several new characters are set to be introduced. Those that will be new to the MCU include Kurt Russell (Ego), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Elizabeth Debicki (Aeysha), and a mystery character played by Sylvester Stallone.

However, a series of tweets from Director James Gunn seems to indicate that one of the actors from the film has been entirely cut from the movie.

Could it be one of the new characters to be played by one of the A-listers mentioned above? Could it be a new character that we weren’t aware of? Could it possibly have been Sharon Stone’s “wee” and unnamed role? We’ll have to wait until May to find out, but if it were to be any of the names mentioned, it’d be more than likely be either Stallone or Stone.

Who do you think was cut from the film?

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, expected May 7, 2017, will star Chris Pratt (Peter Quill/Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Bradley Cooper (Rocket Racoon), Vin Diesel (Groot), Dave Bautista (Drax), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Michael Rooker (Yondu), Glenn Close (Nova Prime), Kurt Russell (Ego), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Elizabeth Debicki (Aeysha), and Sylvester Stallone (hopefully).
