Fans have long questioned the presence of Asgardian Warrior, Sif, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We last saw her in Thor: The Dark World and it is also a bit unclear if her appearance from Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD is even canon. There were also speculations back then that she might have a planned Disney+ series in the works. Whatever the case may be, it seems that the plans for the character are still being laid out. In an interview that surfaced on Reddit, Jaimie Alexander, who plays Sif in the MCU, teased the possibility of her character returning.
..[I] would probably cease to exist if I actually told what I have coming up, so I can’t tell you guys, but thanks for asking anyway.
It appears that Alexander has been tight-lipped about her upcoming projects and it points to the direction of a possible project that is shrouded in secrecy which is under the umbrella of Marvel Studios. Ever since the character went off the grid, many have been speculating when would the character return. During the upcoming slate of MCU properties, Loki and Thor: Love and Thunder are the two properties that make sense. Moreover, since there are more Disney+ shows coming along the way, one of those shows could be the long-rumored Sif Disney+ series. Either way, this is intriguing and it will be interesting to see her reaction on Asgard being gone and the recent transition of the throne from Thor to Valkryie.
