It looks like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 could be getting some Asgardian help. Director James Gunn recently took to his Instagram to post a very interesting photo of him wielding the mighty Mjolnir. We know that the film is in the final weeks of production and does the presence of the hammer mean the God of Thunder himself Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is making an appearance? We will have to wait and see, but first check out the photo!
Now, I would be surprised if Thor shows up simply because I do not expect Gunn to spoil an appearance that would otherwise likely be a secret. That being said, this is not the first time Thor has been linked to the Guardians. Previously, Hemsworth has stated that he wants to join team following his comments that Thor: Ragnarok could use some of Gunn’s humor. There seems to be mutual interest from both parties and could further the interest in Ragnarok, which comes out the same year.
