Following the success of The Avengers and the increased popularity of Mark Ruffalo‘s portrayal as Bruce Banner/Hulk, fans have been dying to see as much of him on the big screen as possible.

There was at one point plans to send him to space at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron but his future is certainly hard to figure out. Ruffalo has talked about what the future could hold but he is unaware of the definitive plan. The two most common scenarios among fans is the desire to see a Planet Hulk film or to see him team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy. The latter has been shut down (again) by director James Gunn.

Gunn is very active on social media and has given and hidden bits of information on Guardians of the Galaxy 2. He has recently revealed how many new characters we could see as well as which iconic villain will not be showing up in the sequel.

Today, Gunn announced that he has finished the first draft of Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and teased a possible subtitle, but does not want to spoil anything just yet. The announcement prompted a question from a fan about the subtitle confirming an appearance by the Hulk. Here is what he said,

It is unfortunate that Hulk will not be appearing in the sequel but we should trust James Gunn’s vision after he blew fans away his first installment. Plus, we may already be getting clues as to where Hulk will show up next as a means to stop another man with anger problems.
