If there’s one thing Taika Waititi is a master of, it’s filming the funniest of mockumentaries. The Team Thor shorts he’s been doing with Chris Hemsworth and Daley Pearson, who plays the lovable roommate Darryl Jacobson in the shorts, have been nothing short of hilarious. And fans of it will have something more to look forward thanks to Jeff Goldblum‘s confirmation that a new one has been shot featuring Darryl and the Grandmaster.
I shot a thing with Taika, where there’s a roommate in Australia. I show up at his, and I do knock on his door. And I take up residence in the little flat, as they say here. That’s what I do. And order things from the takeaway restaurant. Buy all the local foods.
Having seen Thor: Ragnarok in theaters just a few hours ago (perks of living in a country that pirates films way too fast), I can tell you guys that Goldblum absolutely kills it as the Grandmaster. He plays him with a kind of obtuse sleaziness that translates hilariously on film. We can only imagine what kind hijinks he brings into Darryl’s life when he moves in.
