Netflix and Marvel TV have just announced the official premiere date for what they’re calling “the final season” of Jessica Jones, along with a mysterious new teaser. As expected, the season is coming sooner rather than later, precisely on June 14th. Watch the teaser below:

The teaser doesn’t give us much, except that we’re getting a new villain that seems to know Jessica very well which hints at another thriller tone for the season and some slight changes on the shows’ logo. However, we do have a synopsis and some new stills to paint a better picture of what to expect.
“In the final season of Jessica Jones, about the New York City private detective with superhuman strength, Jessica (Krysten Ritter) crosses paths with a highly intelligent psychopath, and she and Trish (Rachael Taylor) must repair their fractured relationship and team up to take him down. But a devastating loss reveals their conflicting ideas of heroism and sets them on a collision course that will forever change them both.”
Let’s see where this final season takes us. The third season of Jessica Jones will serve not only as the end of this show but of the Netflix side of the MCU as a whole since all of the six shows have been canceled. In two years time, Disney will be able to pull these shows back from the dead and make new seasons for Disney+. Here’s to hoping.
