Tomorrow is the official kick off of San Diego Comic-Con 2016 and as the four day event unfolds, we should get plenty of updates on the continually growing universe Marvel has constructed. It starts tomorrow with a panel for Luke Cage that will reportedly feature a preview for the series and hopefully a full length trailer. Then on Friday, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will let their presence be known with a panel of their own, although with filming yet to begin on season 4, only teases or confirmations on who could be showing up are the most likely pieces of information to come out of this. Saturday is when Marvel Studios plans to show off Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Doctor Strange. There is also the chance that Marvel could confirm frontrunner Brie Larson as Carol Danvers with her set to appear for Kong: Skull Islan, or bring Chadwick Boseman out for Black Panther, or even start promoting Ant-Man and the Wasp early with director Peyton Reed being at SDCC as well.

As you can see, there are plenty of things that could come out and surprise us, with more people involved with the MCU at the con than listed above, but now we know of a new surprise that will be coming. Joe Quesada took to his official Tumblr page to reveal that at his Cup of Joe panel on Saturday at 3 p.m. PST, he will be unveiling a never before seen trailer for a “brand new show.”

Fans that attended last year’s panel were treated to a never before seen (and hysterical) 8 minute outtake from Daredevil Season 1 and this year’s panel will be no different.

If you’re a fan of our TV shows I’ll be premiering a trailer for a brand new show we’re working on. This will be the only time at the con that you’ll be able to see it so make sure to get there early.

Oh and shhhhhh, don’t tell Jeph Loeb, he’d be so pissed.

The immediate thought for a brand new trailer goes to Luke Cage, but with Quesada calling this a “brand new show,” it could be a variety of properties. The one that would make the most sense to me would be a premiere trailer for Damage Control that announces it will join the fall schedule at ABC. Other possibilities include the mystery project from John Ridley, the mystery second comedy, Cloak and Dagger, or something entirely different that has not been announced. It is hard to pinpoint what property it could be that would have been able to film a pilot and get a cast without anything being reported for it. A true surprise would be a trailer from Marvel’s Most Wanted and a revival for the series on a different platform than ABC. The final, and probably most likely, scenario could be Fox’s upcoming series Legion, that is not a part of the MCU, or an animated series. It is unclear if the trailer will be released online, but a description or at least confirmation for what show it is for should surface. Let us know what trailer you think he could be teasing in the comments below!
