Most eyes may be on Avengers: Infinity War, but that does not seem to be stopping the news from rolling out for 2018’s third Marvel production, Ant-Man and the Wasp. After a strong showing at this year’s San Diego Comic Con, which was filled with some fantastic announcements ranging from Michelle Pfeiffer playing Janet Van Dyn and Laurence Fishburne being cast as Bill Foster, there is no stopping the miniature juggernaut. We have confirmation of one returning supporting actress from the first film, Judy Greer.

The actress will be returning in her role as Maggie Lang, the ex-wife of Scott Lang and the mother of his daughter. We have yet to hear anything about the potential return of Cassie Lang, who was played by Abby Ryder Fortson in the first film, but it might be a given, as she was prominently featured on the poster sold during SDCC alongside Michael Peña’s Luis. There are still some supporting cast members uncertain to return, such as Maggie’s police officer boyfriend Paxton (Bobby Cannavale) and his partner.

The plot of the film is also still uncertain, as while there were some hints that Mitchell Carson (Martin Donovan) got his hands on the formula created by Darren Cross from Ant-Manthere is a lot of possible directions they could go with the sequel. It will not only be building on the first film but also on Scott’s adventures in Captain America: Civil War and will follow after Avengers: Infinity War. At this point, anything is possible and it will be interesting to see how this affects his everyday troubles of supporting his daughter.

What do you think? What role do you think Scott’s ex-wife will have in the film? Who else do you hope will make an appearance from the first film?
