While we are still anticipating the official line-up for the post-Phase 3 MCU films, some more news is hitting the Internet on potential castings for their 2020 outings. Marvel Studios seems to be currently negotiating with John Wick‘s Keanu Reeves to potentially appear in the upcoming The Eternals film, at least according to MCU Cosmic. Discussions are reportedly still in their early stages but just from the looks of it, Marvel Studios is trying to get together quite an ensemble for the project. If negotiations work out, he would be joining Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden and Kumail Nanjiani in what may show the history of the MCU. MCUCosmic points out that it is uncertain what role they are eyeing for him so the negotiations might also entail finding the right character.

The Eternals might be Marvel Studios riskiest project yet as we begin to explore even more of the cosmic MCU. Created by the Celestials, who were teased in Guardians of the Galaxy, the Eternal and the monstrous Deviant race were off-shoots from proto-humans. They became the protectors of the earth long before humanity came to exist only to venture out into space. It is uncertain how much from the original concept will remain and if we may see a completely new interpretation of the Eternal race painterly. It will also be interesting to see how they play into the larger universe, as it would be a waste to cast Keanu Reeves in an MCU film but not have him appear across future projects.

What do you think?Who do you think Reeves could be playing?
