If you have been looking forward to seeing the Inhumans on the big screen, it has not been an easy journey for you. There has been no development on any front for a cast member or director, outside of Vin Diesel teasing playing Black Bolt again, again, and again. It is not surprising that no one is attached following the reveal that Inhumans is no longer without a release date.
Prior to the movie getting pushed indefinitely, Kevin Feige stated that it could be pushed but it is still certainly in their plans. He is sticking to his word when he was asked about the state of the movie by the Empire Film Podcast. Once again, he says it is a matter of when, not if, the movie hits theaters.
The only situation right now is that [Inhumans] is not gonna be a part of Phase Three because Phase Three increased in a very good way since we initially announced. When and where and how it pops up remains to be seen but its characters we love, it a storyline we love and we just didn’t want to cram it in to an already quite full Phase Three.
Pushing Inhumans to post-Phase 3, should not effect and possibly even help the film overall. Instead of being strongly tied into the events of Avengers: Infinity War, it can stand on it’s own and show the history that is within the Inhuman lore. Let us know if you are excited to see an Inhumans movie in the comments below!
