We are nearing the tenth anniversary of Marvel Studios and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is quite a milestone for any franchise and they do not seem to be slowing down anytime soon. While they traditionally attend San Diego Comic-Con to reveal and tease the future of their film franchise, it seems that there is a possibility of Marvel Studios getting their very own Comic-Con. In an interview with CEO Kevin Feige, Fandango asked him on the possibility to have fans of these films be able to attend an exclusive event similar to the Star Wars Celebration.

Over the years there have been discussions about that. I think what we try to do occasionally in San Diego we’re very proud of and think is a fun tradition. That being said, I think [Star Wars] Celebration is pretty amazing. I’ve been to a few Celebrations and the idea of doing something like that … I think we have enough content, and enough fans, and enough ideas that we could easily do something like that, I’m just not sure where or when.

The upcoming anniversary does seem like a perfect time to hold some kind of convention or event. Many might also remember when they held an exclusive event to reveal their planned films for Phase 3. If they go all out to make an MCU-Con, we could even see various panels on the making of Marvel’s shows and films, get exclusive merchandise for Lockjaw or Captain America, and maybe get an announcement for upcoming projects. There are so many things that Marvel Studios could do with their own convention and hopefully, we will get some kind of announcement over the course of the next months.

What do you think? Would you attend a Marvel Studios Comic-Con?
