Kevin Feige was in Shanghai a couple of days ago for the massive fan-event for Avengers: Endgame where he revealed that Spider-Man: Far From Home was officially the last movie in the MCU’s Phase 3. Note that it’s hard to discern what the reporter specifically asked due to the immense screaming in the background but you can put two and two together given that she says “Spider-Man” and “fourth phase” and Kevin’s answer.

It’s the end of the third phase. You’re the first person I’ve told that to.

The marketing push for Spider-Man: Far From Home has been met with some derision from fans who think of the campaign as being too close in proximity to Avengers: Endgame. Knowing that Far From Home will mark the end of the third phase is super interesting as Endgame is generally being touted as the culmination of 11 years of the MCU. While Ant-Man barely touched on the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron as it bookended Phase 2, I’m hoping that the highly-anticipated Spidey sequel will delve more into the ramifications the final Avengers film will leave us. Personally, I’d much prefer just for Endgame to give us a clean wrap up and have Far From Home be the beginning of the new phase.
