Over the past few years, Kevin Tancharoen has established himself as perhaps Marvel TV’s most consistent director. He has delivered some of the best episodes Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has put forward the past few seasons and his entry into Iron Fist, The Blessing of Many Fractures, gave us one of the series most enthusiastic fight scenes. If we’re right, Tancharoen will be bringing his unique style to an episode of Marvel’s event TV series, Inhumans, as well.

Sometimes social media lays out a clear trail of breadcrumbs to follow. Sometimes the trail doesn’t end where we want, but other times it does and we’re speculating that, in this case, the trail is leading us to an episode of Inhumans directed by Tancharoen. The evidence: Tancharoen was in Hawaii last week, specifically on the island of Oahu where Inhumans is being filmed and is actively communicating with the cast of the show via social media.

I’m sure it’s a nice time of year to visit Hawaii, but we’re thinking Tanchroen’s visit is more business and less pleasure. In his Instagram post, Tancharoen is interacting with actress Ellen Woglom and Marvel TV producer Emma Fleischer. Fleischer has co-producer credits on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Daredevil, so it’s possible she’s involved with Inhumans as well. However, it’s Woglom that’s given us reason to think. In early March, Woglom was announced as having been cast in the series in a mystery role:

The mystery character is smart, intense and focused — so focused that oftentimes social skills take a back seat. Her job at a private aerospace company is her life, second only to her passion for all things space and lunar. She’s primed to be swept up in an adventure.

Speculation about her the identity of her character has run from Abigail Brand, to Catherine Mora, to Salia Petrie and back again, but it seems we’ll be waiting for the premiere to find out. However, her interaction with Tancharoen seems to indicate that right now, the two are potentially working together.

And Woglom isn’t the only member of the cast with whom Tancharoen is connected on social media. He’s also following actress Isabelle Cornish who will portray the Inhuman Royal, Crystal. We know from prior experience that a few connections on social media doesn’t necessarily mean an individual is working on a project, but given Tancharoen’s up and coming status, his relationship with Marvel and his proximity to the location of the show, there’s certainly enough circumstantial evidence to suggest his involvement. Tancharoen is easily one of Marvel TV’s most consistent directorial talents so this is nothing but fantastic news to us if indeed true.

What do you think of Tancharoen lending his talents to the Inhumans series? Are you disappointed that our lord and saviour Scott Buck isn’t handling the whole thing himself? Let us know in the comments below!
