With the shooting date fast approaching for The Eternals, casting is ramping up. Comedian and Oscar-nominee, Kumail Nanjiani, is now in negotiations to star alongside Angelina Jolie in The Eternals. While we don’t know who he would be playing, in this same report, it has been made clear that Angelina Jolie would indeed be playing the human loving Eternal, Sersi.
In that case, would this mean that Kumail Nanjiani could be negotiating for the role of Ikaris? Considering that The Eternals is meant to feature a romance between Sersi and Ikaris. At this point it’s anyone’s guess.
