Surprisingly, we haven’t had many crossovers outside of the Marvel Netflix shows between the various Marvel TV shows. Even Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., a series that dabbled in all sides of the MCU spectrum, never truly crossed over with any other show. It has the strongest ties to the films, as it featured many returning characters but we never got a chance for Phil Coulson to get a talk with Danny Rand a.k.a. Iron Fist. Our largest crossovers on the side of TV come from the Netflix shows, where we had the mini-series The Defenders and some ongoing cameos. This concept may even save the characters from Iron Fist and Luke Cage from still being a part of the MCU after their show got canceled. It looks like we might have another crossover heading our way according to Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb.

“What we like what Josh [Schwartz] and Steph [Savage] is that this is a show that can stay on its own. It can reference the rest of the world, but it’s true to teenagers — they’re not interested in what Tony Stark is doing this week or what Matt Murdock is doing this week but they might be interested in a couple of kids who live down in New Orleans and what’s going on there.”

The Runaways have some ties to Cloak and Dagger in the comics. In a way, their basic concept is the same as it revolves around teenagers being on the run. It would not be too surprising for them to crossover at some point. Would make for an interesting event seeing two groups of powered individuals seeing that they aren’t the only ones in the world. While they can look up to the Avengers, there are people that are scared of those with abilities, something we’ve seen quite often throughout the MCU. There are a lot of stories they could tell with these two parts of the MCU coming together and may open up the possibility to more crossovers. Perhaps Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. could even join the fun and help revive the “It’s All Connected” tagline once again.

Would you want a crossover between Runaways and Cloak and Dagger? Do you think we would get an entire season or just an episode?
