The winter finale of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D ended with a confrontation between Robbie Reyes’s Ghost Rider (Gabriel Luna) and his uncle, Eli Morrow (Jose Zuniga). The episode ended with Reyes finally defeating his uncle by trapping them both in another dimension. However, Lorenzo James Henrie who plays Gabe Reyes on the show sat down with the website Fan Fest, to hint at Ghost Rider’s possible return.
“I know some things. They are on a winter break right now, but all I know is, I’m pretty sure it’s not the end for Ghost Rider. I know they have some things up their sleeves. It’s gonna be sick.”
Gabriel Luna has hinted before as well that Marvel may not be entirely finished with Ghost Rider. Lorenzo‘s comments are intriguing in that he implies that we may be receiving another appearance by Ghost Rider before the end of the season. In addition, he is fairly vague about which Ghost Rider may be returning, as another Ghost Rider was seen in the episode ‘The Good Samaritan’.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will return January 10, 2017, at 10/9c. You can check out the promo for the series return here. The subtitle for the series return will be Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D: LMD as the new season will focus on the threat posed by the android, AIDA (Mallory Jansen).
