Mark Ruffalo‘s Hulk is the only one of the original six Avengers whose future in the MCU is at this point unclear, with the other five actors either out, or set to reprise their role in future films or Disney Plus shows. With the character becoming Professor Hulk in Endgame, there are plenty of new avenues now open that Marvel can begin to explore with the character.

In a brief new interview with ComicBook, Ruffalo suggested that there was “probably more” to come of his character, and while he didn’t give away any specifics, he gave a pretty good suggestion of which direction he wants to see the character move in. “I’d like to see him hang out with some of the new folks, you know?” he said, adding “maybe be like a guru to some of the younger ones.”

It would certainly make sense for Professor Hulk to move into a mentoring role, and he certainly has the name for it! Plus, with the rumor of the Young Avengers possibly making their way into the MCU in the third Ant-Man 3, it would be great to see one of the original Avengers be around to train and mentor them going forward. Bare in mind these are just Ruffalo’s own ideas, but I reckon this is probably the way Marvel will be moving – but either way, hopefully we should hear more about the character’s MCU future soon.
