With SDCC officially set to kick off later today with Previews Night, Marvel has finally gone ahead and released the official panel and signing schedules. Although they still haven’t revealed who we can expect to see during Saturday’s highly anticipated Hall H panel for Marvel Studios, they did reveal an interesting bit of news on the signing schedule that may tease part of Marvel’s Hall H plans: Chadwick Boseman will actually be on hand this Saturday for a Black Panther signing!
Excited to hang out w/ @Marvel & all of you at my 1st #SDCC this Saturday. Drop by booth 2329 at 12pm. #BlackPanther pic.twitter.com/FpIoCky7sc

Up until now, we’ve only known for sure that directors James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2) and Scott Derrickson (Doctor Strange) will be on hand, with a good amount of the cast of Guardians 2 since confirming their appearances as well. However, this is the first mention of Boseman being in attendance. It has been rumored for a while now that the Captain Marvel casting (and possibly the director) will be confirmed at SDCC, and with Brie Larson on hand to promote Kong: Skull Island, this seems fairly likely at this point. However, it now appears that we could very well learn some Black Panther news on Saturday as well. After all, Marvel Studios is well into casting for the film, which will kick off production in January. They’ve already brought in Michael B. Jordan and Lupita Nyong’o. However, per usual, while they’ve both been confirmed for the film thanks to Jordan, Marvel hasn’t officially announced their castings. Is it possible that we’ll see them join Boseman – and possibly director Ryan Coogler – on stage? Fingers crossed!
You can check out the schedules for Marvel’s SDCC events above. And make sure to stay tuned throughout the course of the convention! We’ll be bringing you the latest news as it breaks, both on the site as well as our YouTube channel.
Note: If you’re headed to SDCC this year and hope to get in on some of the signings at the Marvel booth, remember that – as noted on the above schedules – most of these are ticketed events. This means that tickets will be given out in the mornings at the Marvel booth. Make sure to arrive early!
