The original iteration of the Avengers as we know it may be gone from the MCU but we’re far from a shortage of team-ups happening. GWW is reporting that Marvel Studios is eyeing to do an Agents of Atlas team-up project following the release of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Whether it’ll be a Disney+ show or a film is currently unknown.

For those of you who don’t know, Agents of Atlas is one of the fringe Marvel teams. Retconned into the 50s era of the Marvel Universe back in the mid-2000s, Agents of Atlas has gone through several iterations in the comics, with Jimmy Woo (a character we’ve already seen in the MCU who will be making another appearance in Wandavision) being the sole constant member. Lately, the team has gone through a massive change incorporating superheroes of various nationalities. This new team includes, you guessed it, Shang-Chi.

Overall, this is a project that makes sense. In the wake of the Avengers’ absence in the MCU, it’s high-time for various factions all over the world to rise up. Bringing Simu Liu‘s Shang-Chi into the team is a pretty cool way to tread new ground for the character. And of course, it’s always exciting to see new characters from different walks of life.
