Marvel Studios brought the house down in this year’s Comic Con as they revealed Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The intriguing part of the reveal is that the slate featured a combination of movies and TV shows where the latter will debut on the new streaming service called Disney+. Shows such as Loki, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, What If, and WandaVision are set to directly connect to the movie side of Phase 4 and fans are intrigued as to how it will happen.
On the other side, Marvel TV is set to have a huge sendoff for Agents of SHIELD next year when the show airs its final season. However, it seems that there is more to come for them in Disney+ aside from the already announced TV series. In an interview with Deadline, Marvel TV Head, Jeph Loeb, teased the exciting news.
Well, first of all, I have to make something very clear, which is those are shows that are created and run and the responsibility of the motion picture studio. Secondly, Marvel Television will be doing shows with Disney+, we just haven’t announced what we’re going to do there.
However, Loeb was tight-lipped when he was pressed to reveal the names of the new shows. He simply responded that he will reveal all of it when they are ready.
This is going to be an interesting detail because Marvel TV and Marvel Studios are two entirely separate studios. We have yet to know if this will lead to the much anticipated crossover of both properties that fans have been clamoring about ever since.
